MERLAND (PART 2) by Jenn Webster
Just before the royal princess could answer, a big sea dragon went up to the surface and kidnapped the royal princess! After that, the sea dragon changed into a real dragon and flew away with the royal princess in his grasp! Terri, Kaline, Shanna, and Aquella watched this whole scene and then went into the ocean, swimming to the neighboring island kingdom, where the royal emperor lives.
When the four mermaid sisters finally reached that island kingdom, they saw a castle palace, and they then saw the flying dragon holding Royal Princess Alisha in his grasp; meanwhile, the royal emperor saw that his daughter had been kidnapped by the dragon, and ordered his guards to fight it so that the dragon could set his daughter free. Although the guards had used every weapon possible to stop the dragon, that dragon was somehow unstoppable!
Then, the dragon flew in front of the royal emperor, and a strange transformation took place; to the royal emperor’s surprise, as well as the four mermaids, the dragon then transformed into…The wizard! Terri could not believe her eyes! She and the rest of her mermaid sisters had finally met the wizard himself in person, alright, but somehow, he began to have an evil side, which means that this wizard, who was once somehow a good guy, had now gone bad!
The royal emperor took one look at the now-evil wizard, who had somehow tied up his daughter, and said to him, “You ungrateful fool! What do you want from me?! Let my daughter go!” “Not a chance,” the wizard replied, “you and that lousy royal king buddy of yours should certainly be ashamed of yourselves! When the royal prince was born, and I had been told that I wouldn’t be needed due to the upcoming marriage, that was when I decided that I should have my revenge! So with that, I would like to make a proposition…Either you end this arraigned marriage and get my job back, or I shall put an end to the royal princess!” However, the royal emperor stood his ground and replied to the wizard, “Not a chance! This arrangement of marriage, which the royal king and I had made many years ago, still stands!”
The wizard became furious and said to the royal emperor, “Then, you leave me no choice…” Just then, the wizard pulled out a knife, about to stab the royal princess, when a big, beautiful bubble appeared magically, and inside the bubble, Royal Prince Arin was inside! The royal prince broke out of the bubble and used a spear to stab the wizard in the back! And then, the royal emperor, his daughter, and his future son-in-law watched as the wizard burned himself with fire inside himself, then reduced to ash.
Meanwhile, having somehow inherited magic powers, the four mermaid sisters appeared magically; Terri looked at the wizard she and her sisters wanted to meet and found that he was now nothing but ashes.
Royal Princess Alisha looked at Royal Prince Arin, the future son-in-law of the Royal Emperor and Empress, and said to him, “Arin, you saved my life! But how did you do that? I thought that you were nothing but a…” But Arin interrupted, “Brash, egotistical and otherwise serious human being? Oh, nonsense! That is surely not true!” Then Arin said this to Alisha, “When I first saw you as a child, we never liked each other at first, but as we grew older and I took one closer look at you, that was then that I realized that you are the most beautiful and caring person that I have ever met in my entire life.”
Then Alisha spoke to Arin, saying, “I guess I was wrong when I first thought about you…When you destroyed the evil wizard, you saved me and both of our neighboring island kingdoms, and that was when I finally knew that you have a brave, caring, and loving heart, not to mention how very handsome you really are!” Alisha smiled at Arin while Shanna smiled and winked at them, giving a thumbs-up.
And then, Arin asked Alisha, “Alisha, I love you with all of my heart, and I do not think that I could ever find a woman as beautiful and full of love as you.” “Same here, my darling,” Alisha replied to Arin, and then Arin asked his bride-to-be, “Will you please take me back so that we can finally be man and wife forever and ever?” “Of course I will,” replied Alisha, “And I am so sorry for having mistaken you. I love you, forever and always.”
And after saying their words of love, Arin and Alisha kissed, with the four mermaid sisters and the royal emperor watching.
Two weeks later, Royal Prince Arin, son of the royal king and queen, and Royal Princess Alisha, daughter of the royal emperor and empress, were finally married in a grand royal wedding ceremony; the two neighboring island kingdoms were finally united as one island kingdom. The four mermaids also sang for the newlyweds!
Meanwhile, as for Charlie, the mermaid Terri introduced him to a beautiful human woman named Julia; just one look at her, and Cupid’s arrow had struck old Charlie! Afterward, Terri, Kaline, Shanna, and Aquella finally returned to Merland, the enchanted undersea land of the happy merpeople.
